It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Grace Phillips, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this life on June 9, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on November 22, 1953, in Thomasville, Georgia, to the late Nolan and Peggy Brice Stillwell Carter, Grace dedicated her life to her family and home, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. On September 12, 1970, Grace married the love of her life, David E Phillips, who preceded her in death.
Grace is survived by her son, David G. Phillips of Thomasville, and her daughter, Amy Phillips of Sterling, Colorado. Grace also cherished her role as a grandmother to five grandchildren and a great-grandmother to two precious great-grandchildren. Her legacy of love will continue through the generations. Grace is additionally survived by her siblings, Franci Crosby and Steve Richards, who will forever hold dear the memories of their sister.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 2 PM at Allen and Allen Funeral Home, with Dennis Norman officiating. A visitation will take place on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 5 to 7 PM for family and friends to pay their respects. Pallbearers will include Jamie Guess, BJ Phillips, Donnie Poitevent, Zack Harnevious, Michael Bostic, Sawn Poitevent, and Kyle Phillips, while honorary pallbearers will be Julian Bailey and Hoyt Roundtree.
